The house: A new custom home in the Denver area, heated by an air-to-water heat pump and radiant floors.
The heat source: The outdoor unit feeds a buffer tank in the mechanical room.
The floors: The buffer tank supplies tubing in the basement slab over insulation and above-floor radiant on the subfloor of the upper levels. Each area runs from its own manifold.
The mechanical room: Zone controls, circulators, the expansion tank and air separation are laid out together on the mechanical room wall.
